Marshall’s Law Dateline – Most New Year’s resolutions are motivated by vanity or vanities; very few are based on devotion. Perhaps an explanation of why most New Year’s resolutions last only weeks?
One definition of resolution is act or process of reducing to simpler form.
One definition of devotion is ardent love or affection – synonym fidelity.
Stated again, repetition is good teaching tool. Reader can recall America’s four inalienable rights.
1. Life;
2. Liberty to pursue free will;
3. Ownership of private property through ethical capitalism;
4. Self defense.
Perhaps America’s “founders” did not include self defense in inalienable rights in America’s Declaration of Independence as “founders” not “framers” of constitution presumed citizens accepted the obvious?
Still it is very likely that “framers” also understood concept of inalienable right of self defense; reference two of three words in oath taken to preserve U.S. Constitution: uphold, protect, and defend?
Words to “protect and defend” by “framers” of Constitution could have originated from following:
1. Holy Bible which distinguishes between “kill” and “murder” in Ten Commandments. Did David “kill” or “murder” Goliath?
2. Act of Abjuration July 1581. The Act of Abjuration which many of America’s “founders” had drafts of document which started exposing myth of divine rights of kings. (Reference All Right Magazine -Texas Drifter: America's Lost Second Tradition Found. Published 2013)
3. America’s Declaration of Independence which reader might consider re-reading.
4. Second Amendment of Bill of Rights: Amendment II - A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
5. More contemporary example is Article I of Texas Bill of Rights in Texas’ 1876 Constitution; after dealing with revenge and vengeance following America’s First Civil War by Yankee Republican Carpetbagger Scalawags. Excerpts Article I from Texas Bill of Rights. (Start excerpt)
That the general, great and essential principles of liberty and free government may be recognized and established, we declare:
SEC. 2. All political power is inherent in the people and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their benefit. The faith of the people of Texas stands pledged to the preservation of a republican form of government, and, subject to this limitation only, they have at all times the inalienable right to alter, reform or abolish their government in such manner as they may think expedient.
SEC. 23. Every citizen shall have the right to keep and bear arms in the lawful defense of himself or the State; but the Legislature shall have power by law to regulate the wearing of arms with a view to prevent crime.
SEC. 24. The military shall at all times be subordinate to the civil authority.
SEC. 29. To guard against transgressions of the high powers herein delegated, we declare that everything in this "Bill of Rights" is excepted out of the general powers of government, and shall forever remain inviolate, and all laws contrary thereto, or to the following provisions, shall be void.

Nearing closing assignment question for reader: Perhaps good 2014 New Year’s resolution being reduced to simplest form; might be honoring oath to uphold, protect, and defend America’s Bill of Rights.? TRUE or FALSE
Clue, in case reader has forgotten what are or will be promising to uphold, protect, and defend. Follows is full text of America’s Bill of Rights.

Another clue to One “founder’s” attitude, to protecting and defending America’s inalienable rights; can be provided by one of America’s most respected founders.
Peter Muhlenberg was born in 1746 his father was one of the chief founders of the Lutheran church in America. Early in life Peter entered the ministry, and was a pastor of a church at Woodstock, in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
When the war clouds began to gather, this minister, not satisfied with a written protest, informed the members of his church of his intentions to resign. The news attracted hearers near and far as Muhlenberg was one of the most popular ministers in Virginia. In his forceful sermon he spoke of the duties citizens owe their country. In closing he said, “There is a time for preaching and for praying. But there is also a time for fighting. Now this time has come!”
In the same moment he threw off his clerical garment and stood in the pulpit in the uniform of a Colonel of the Continental army. Muhlenberg for his excellent services to the Continental army was rewarded with the title of major-general. George Washington counted him among his confidential friends.
Two moral questions should close this writing exercise.
1. Not leaving all options like self defense on table is either fool’s or coward’s strategy? TRUE or FALSE
2. Good public opinion survey question: will there ever be justice for the tens of thousands and very possibly hundreds of thousands murdered by Obama Care? YES or NO
Clue: Would all those who needlessly died and will needlessly die from Obama Care have been murdered; if Obama, Progressive Democrats, and Obama Republicans serving Republican establishment elites and their alliances with other guilty parties; not interfered with private citizens’ private sector health care? Let us see how Fox News spins all those deaths as fair and balanced.
Clue to clue: truth is not fair and balanced; truth is truth, no more no less.
